The challenge
Interpreter requests arrived through scattered emails and texts, and the old site gave Deaf clients no clear, accessible path to book services.
The strategy
Lead with the promise that communication access is a right, then put a single, obvious request path on every screen with plain-language service descriptions.
What we changed
- Built one structured interpreter request flow
- Rewrote services in plain language with ASL-first framing
- Added an FAQs and resources hub for new clients
- Consolidated contact points into a single connect page
Accessibility improvements
- AA contrast on the deep green and orange palette
- Full keyboard navigation with visible focus states
- Captioned video and descriptive link text throughout
- Screen reader tested request forms
Results
- +63%
- Interpreter requests

- Response time
- Pass
- WCAG 2.2 AA
